My Fab Five in Seattle

My ISO was all wrong for our outing to Seattle...but as the dilema goes for new digital photographers, it's sooo hard to delete!
I love these kiddos.

Curves

I love the shapes/curves on this totem pole located right by the market downtown seattle. So much history and workmanship. Again, what a great place to live and learn.

FIVE

This, by far, is my favorite '5' that there is....and yes, VW and I often say to each other, "WHAT were we thinking?!" But then, they all laugh and play and love each other and it is family bliss again. (well, either that or it is when they all are asleep :))
Tazzie (8), Tui (2), Tainui (10), Tama (6) and Te (5)

Interaction

Lots of Interaction on the playground.
Tainui is now very into playing football at recess with all his buddies. Actually, this IS last year at his old school...and knowing how quickly things change, he could be into something totally different now. It does get a little weird as they get older and share less and less with the old parents. He does love all sports though...and is a wonderful boy. We are lucky, or I should say blessed.

Emotion

So much emotion in those big 'puss in boots' eyes that Teina has...he is so tender. My heart breaks for him sometimes.

EmOtiON!!

When we had the 'big snow'.....even I, the non-snow lover that i am, geared up and went outside and taught Tainui how to snowboard. I had to reach waaaay back into my memory for that one--hadn't been boarding since before he was born-ugh! So I think the only reason I went out was because when I learned how, it was in beautiful, Utah powder--it never hurt to fall! And then, it happened here, actual powder, right outside our door-yahoo!! He quite liked it--a happy 10 year old for the whole day!

RED

This is my picture for 'RED'...i loved the fall colors in the backyard of our old house. For a brief time we would have a red carpet out back. What a beautiful place we live in! But then we had to rake...

Reflection

For my 'reflection' picture....As I looked at this I immediately remembered my oldest, Tainui (in the back) as my youngest and only child....
These are my "bookends"--my first and last (i think) kids. How different they are and similar at the same time. My goodness, how time has gone...how different life is from one child to the next, or from one to five.
