A BEAR!?!?

I do love living in the Pacific Northwest but black bears in my backyard munching on the newly installed sod....hmmmm...i'm not so sure sometimes.

And the hair comes off

Well Tazzie girl also got a little bit of a 'summer cut'. She looks cute, she's going to send off her ponytail to locks of love. She looks a lot older to me...what do you think?

The Fam

Well today at church after Tainui got the Priesthood, we took this picture of the family. The boys just got their summer buzz haircuts...Tazzie gets hers chopped off tomorrow.....AAAAHHHHH!!!! I am probably more nervous than she is.

Big Day

Well, Tainui had the big birthday #12...today at church he received the Aaronic Priesthood and became a Deacon. It was a very nice day. He looks so grown up.

And the Race Begins....

This is the start of the 6th grade boys 1.87 mile race. This was at the first cross country meet of the season. Our school was the host of about 6 other schools at this invitational. It was very exciting.
Here Tainui is in the home stretch, pushing to the finish line. He is running next to a fellow Eagle, one of the fastest guys, he tells me.
Tainui pulls it out in the end and even beats his 'very fast teammate'. He placed 19th out of 108 boys. Like I said, it was VERY exciting to watch and encourage all these kids (especially my own:)).

Kewish Traditions Continue

Tainui shows off his new 'tennie runners'.....he just started running cross country with his middle school. Snoqualmie Middle School Eagles (which I told him was the best mascot for a middle school...a la South Jr. High Eagles, Anaheim, CA) will attend their first Cross Country meet this Tuesday. It will be fun, as he continues the tradition of Kewish runners, and I continue the tradition of runner watchers. :)
Let's just hope he is more serious than this at the meet. Might help the standings. Of course, if he did this to his opponents as he ran by, he could beat them all as they roll around the ground in laughter. You never know. :)

Frist Day of School

Here are the kids on their first day of school. A new first for us...Tainui is now in Middle School...ahhhh, scary! And Teina is in full day school....yahoo!

One year wed....

Well, we loved, as usual, the visit from Uncle Jon and Aunty Ashley. We just love that Ashley's family lives here so that we get the bonus side visits. :) Just checkin' out the falls of Snoqualmie.
